Diesel Only The Brave Iron Man Limited Edition

The fist-shaped bottle is certainly an eye-candy, isn't it?

Diesel has gone Marvel with its new limited edition fragrance called Only The Brave Iron Man Limited Edition fragrance. The bottle is fiery red shaped like a clenched fist with Diesel's insignia embellished as a ring. The fragrance notes are lemon, violet, leather, styrax, labdanum, cedar and amber.

The original Only The Brave was woody-oriental in nature. It's more of the cologne type as opposed to a full-blown fragrance. It's citrusy, somewhat aquatic and leaves a faint woody trail. You can call it unique (the flacon is!) but scent-wise, Mugler's Cologne is a better option.

Marketing did great on the packaging though. It features scenes from the comic book Iron Man. But as far as fragrance goes, this is not something out of the ordinary. It's nice on the overall and that's all is to it.

Now, would I buy this fragrance for my man?

I don't know. It's more of a novelty item to me, something collectible and not really a great fragrance to own. I would rather opt for Hugo Boss or Polo for contemporary men's fragrances.
